Replacement Pail w/ Lid for Yogotherm $12

The lid on this pail is very hard to remove.

I had the whole kit for years then somebody accidentally put the lid to the pail too close to the stove and melted it. Was so happy not to have to buy the whole kit again. If you're on a budget the pail can be used alone without the outer bucket and insulation. Put a blanket over the pail and lid when the outer bucket was temporarily misplaced and it worked great.

The yogotherm works wonderfully, and makes yogurt-making quite simple. The lids to the inner pail do seem to fall apart pretty easily, and can be difficult to get off as well. Overall, though, the whole set-up is great.

After many years the lid on our old pail finally failed. Was so nice to be able to get a replacement pail without having to order a complete set.

I had to have a second bucket. My first bucket is heavily in use for starting yogurt, buttermilk and or other small batch cheeses. This bucket is going to be used for keeping my sourdough culture bubbling. The bucket is made from food grade plastic, durable, and easy to clean.
