Powdered Vegetarian Rennet
Powdered vegetarian rennet that is gluten free and NON-GMO. Each packet of rennet will set approximately four gallons of milk.
This rennet is the powdered version of our vegetable rennet tablets. powdered rennet is easier to use and measure, with no need to cut or crush tablets before use.
- Enzymatic microbial rennet (rhyzomucor miehel)
- Silica dioxide
Store in the freezer
1/8 tsp will set 1 gallon of milk

Mix required amount of rennet in about 1/4 cup cool, non-chlorinated water. Add diluted rennet to milk, gently stir for 1 minute, to evenly distribute.
Once mixed, the rennet solution can not be stored for later use.
Note: The amount will vary on the condition of your milk, season and type of cheese you are making.

A Pleasant Surprise
I was quite skeptical about using vegetarian rennet because the last one I used (bought from a different supplier) didn't work really well. So it was such a nice surprise when I used this because I had a really good curd set, actually much better than the curd set I get using powdered calf rennet. The only regret I have about buying this powdered vegetarian rennet is that I didn't order more. Will definitely buy this again!
