Description

This small hard cheese mold with follower will work with any of our presses and can be use to make up to a two pound cheese, from two gallons of milk. This sturdy mold can handle a pressing weight of up to 100 lbs.

The open bottom on this cheese mold provides ideal drainage. Since this mold does not need the amount of weight, for pressing, as larger cheese molds, it does not need a closed bottom to contain the curd mass.

High Quality Mold

This Is a well made mold that I have used to make several taller-than-wide wheels of cheddar. It’s great for 2 to 2.5 gallon batches.

The Small Cheese Mold

Last year I made a lot of cheese at 5 pounds each. This year using the smaller molds I will be able to spread my wings a little more. Using 2 or 3 of the smaller ones I can use different herbs and such in each one with the same amount of curds I used last year. Besides, it's all about fun and making something new and yummy. And that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

what you see is what you get

I have been making soft cheese for awhile and wanted to try making some aged cheese. I bought this mold for my first attempts and it worked well with the 1 gallon recipe I was using. The two pieces fit together nicely and I used a jar to help push down the middle piece. It's a pretty simple design and looked and worked as expected.
