Hard Cheese Mold (Small)
This small hard cheese mold with follower will work with any of our presses and can be use to make up to a two pound cheese, from two gallons of milk. This sturdy mold can handle a pressing weight of up to 100 lbs.
The open bottom on this cheese mold provides ideal drainage. Since this mold does not need the amount of weight, for pressing, as larger cheese molds, it does not need a closed bottom to contain the curd mass.

It packs nice and tight, cheese slid out. I made a round delicious Wensleydale! Washes perfectly too. An easy one to work with and I have a lot!!
I'm a new cheesemaker and do 2-gallon batches and this was the first mold that I bought. It enabled me to make a variety of the first cheeses that I tackled including Cheddar, Caerphilly, Tomme, and a Derby Cheese. Solid mold, fits my cheese press, handles my pressing weights no problem (I did up to 50lbs), and drained the whey well when in cheesecloth liner and on a cheese mat. It's a tad small for higher moisture curds so you either hand press a bit to make room (or) use as salted leftover to snack on.
To small for 2 gallons of milk
This mold worked perfectly for my 2 gallon farmhouse cheddar. It is very sturdy for the 50 pounds of pressure required.
