Hard Cheese Mold (Large)
This large hard cheese mold will work with any of our cheese presses, includes a follower and has a solid bottom. This mold can be used to make hard cheese between 5 and 7 pounds, depending on how dry the curds are, and will handle a maximum pressing of approximately 150 - 200 lbs.

I've been using this for many semi-hard cheeses. Most of my cheeses are made using 4.5 gallons or less of high fat raw jersey milk from my cows. I've had no trouble with this mold holding that much volume of curd. My press, is a homemade press, in which I use my old pharmacy books, cast iron pots and such as weights and I'm not seeing any signs of buckling. It cleans easily on the top rack of the dishwasher. It's well worth the money! I wish I had a bigger kitchen and larger stove so I could do 2 wheels of cheese a day, with the volume of milk I have (8 gallons a day). It’s great! I had bought another smaller one elsewhere that, on the face of it, looked similar. But I quickly found out it wasn’t. It had tapered sides, so the follower didn’t fit tightly at the top, causing curds to squeeze by when pressed. This one from New England Cheesemaking doesn’t have that problem. Nice straight sides and very durable and easy to clean. Very happy with it!
This mold is made of super good quality plastic. Very strong and made to last. I use more than any other mold. Just get it!
