My children were so excited with this purchase! They love helping me in the kitchen and this new skill of making butter would add to their growing list. I purposely purchased the butter churn from a professional company thinking over Amazon. My thought was better equipment and supporting an American company. I was SO DISAPPOINTED after opening the box and reading MADE IN CHINA. I would return it but my children are so excited to start using it. Please support American made products! With a company named New England - I thought I was supporting American Made. You should label it MADE IN CHINA so others know who they are supporting and who you are supporting. It makes me wonder about your other equipment? All from China? So very disappointed!
I haven’t given up, but my first attempt didn’t work. I think it’s possible that my cream wasn’t heavy enough, or that I didn’t let it warm up long enough. Only comment on the equipment itself is that the gears are not perfectly aligned. They still work, but don’t strike me as well-made.
I had so much fun with this. I sat and made butter while watching TV. It’s sturdy and my family really appreciates fresh butter.
I love this little churn. I had a antique churn for years but the wood paddle was so hard to clean. The modern silicone is fantastic and easy to clean.
I churn a pint of cream into butter & then reserve the buttermilk to make pancakes - you can freeze buttermilk for about 3 months. It takes about 10-15 minutes to churn. Which doesn't seem that long until you're doing it & just when you're about to give up-it's done. The fresh butter tastes great.
