Cheese Wax Brush
This cheese wax brush has a 6" handle with 1 1/2" natural boar bristles. This is a great brush for applying wax to homemade cheese, before aging.
- Melt wax according to package directions.
- Apply wax in two thin coats, as opposed to one thicker coat.
- Apply the first coat of wax, allow to dry, then apply second coat.

This brush works really well for applying the wax on the cheese. So far I haven't had any problems with the bristles falling out and it is holding up very well. It is a must for any home cheesemaker.
Good Wax Brush
Works great for easy wax and touch ups. I prefer dipping, then touching up with this brush and "painting" on aging labels with a thin layer of wax using this brush.
This brush is exactly what you need to coat your cheese with wax! The handle is good quality wood that is smooth and fits in your hand just perfectly. Great size to get the job done but small enough to store easily.
Works great, but not easy to clean
I've used the brush twice now. It works great for waxing the cheese. But it is not easy to get clean. Boiling water works a bit, but it will never be like it was before the first use. Bristles are stuck together with wax. Having said all that, this is still probably the best brush for the job.
