Perfect when used as prescribed

Works as described. It is opened bottom, so you must use a rigid flat surface and a draining layer with this mold. My first try was with a soft wire rack and a cheese cloth. The wire rack sagged and the curd began spilling out. Oops. Switched to a rigid cookie sheet and a porous plastic sheet and it worked perfectly.

Love this mold!!!

I bought these molds for my cheesemaking and I love them. They are well made and easy to use since they do not have a bottom. The plastic they are made out of is durable and thick enough that the mold does not bend (like some other molds do) easily. They have a good amount of drainage holes in them and the cheese does not stick to the mold as much as I thought it would. I am going to use them to make some smaller wheels of Brie for Christmas gifts. They are wonderful!!

First Camembert

I have waited so long to try making camembert. Finally got these molds and they worked beautifully. Three molds for 2 gallons milk. I pre-drained curd in a draining bag for 20 minutes so three molds held the curd perfectly without having to wait to refill molds.
