In as little as 2 hours this fine-mesh strainer will turn 3 cups of yogurt into 1 cup of yogurt cheese, if you desire a thicker cheese, drain for up to 24 hours. The result is a wonderful yogurt cheese which can be enjoyed alone, with herbs or used as a low-fat alternative to cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream and whipped cream.
You can also make a delightful Greek yogurt by draining yogurt until a desired consistency is reached.

This REALLY works! Easy to clean and makes wonderful labneh. Easy to use, just pour the yogurt into the screened basin and put the lid on. Place in the refer overnight and in the morning the labneh has drained nicely. I just turn the screen over a plate and knock the labneh out . It comes clean from the screen and is nice and thick. The whey is held in the bottom of the box and is then ready to use in soup, bread, or just to drink. Eat the labneh with fruit and granola or sprinkle with olive oil and berbere and dip in pita. Yum.
Easy to thicken or strain many products using this nicely shaped item that fits easily in fridge. I wish for a non plastic version of the same style as I don’t like using plastic. I make an exception for this item. Also a metal or at least silicon lid would not stain.
I love this item! Once you try the thicker, creamier yogurt you won’t want to go back to anything bought in a store! I love making my own and this strainer gives just the right consistency. I just wish it was bigger.
Before I bought this strainer, making Labneh and yogurt cheese was a messy operation... butter cloth straining whey from the yogurt into a jar or lining a colander. Now I just scoop the yogurt mixture into the mesh clip the top on and put it in the fridge. 24 hours later, I have delish Labneh. The mesh insert just lifts out and I turn it over into a bowl and out drops the Labneh cleanly. The strained off clear whey is in the container underneath ready to use.
Very easy to use, and thickens yogurt as described. Great product!
