I have been making yogurt cheese for over 30 years, and have equipment to make cheese. This is a compact and quick maker which will produce an amount that most people will enjoy and cleaning is easy.

Compact size = small quantities
The small size means it doesn't take up much space in the cabinet or refrigerator, but it also doesn't strain much at one time -- not a problem for my purposes. I appreciate that it is easier to set up and clean up than cloth straining methods.
I've been using this for about a year, and it works great! Low reviews because of size are silly--its size is right in the description, so if you want something for a larger quantity, get something else. If you can use something that drains 3 cups of yogurt into 1-1.5 cups drained, look no further! It works as designed, the lid keeps out other refrigerator odors, and it cleans up with little more than a rinse. We love it!
