The Chevre Starter kit makes an "udder"ly delicious goat cheese, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to make some of their own. The directions are very clear, and easy to follow. And the cheese is so simple that a beginner like me had zero trouble making it. I will DEFINITELY be making this purchase again.
Fantastic! So easy and straightforward without the need to have a science degree or fancy equipment. My 11 year old was able to follow the directions on the packet to make it, and the taste is super versatile for recipes. We have tried the herbs de Provence for flavor and they were a huge hit. Just started using the long tubelike cheese molds to make it look fancier as it sets. Highly recommend this for beginners!
As a dairy goat owner my number one beginner cheese I make is chevre and this is my go to starter. It works every time, without fail! I even had a batch that I had a hard time holding the temp with due to the temperature in my house and had to double the resting time. The cheese came out softer than I was used too (probably could have strained longer) but was still awesome! Love this stuff!
The culture was easy to use and made an even better cheese so creamy and smooth.
I love this culture, it always turns out so well. Easy to make! You can use chevre for so many things.
