Description

Add Creme Fraiche culture to light cream for a sweet and delicious cultured treat. There are many ways to enjoy Creme Fraiche including drizzling over fresh fruit or a warm bisque, added to a smoothy, used in cooking.

When drained slightly, it will become a thick and creamy Mascarpone. When draining it is fabulous on sweet bread or even stuffed into dates.

Who knew?

What a revelation this was! Not only did this creme fraiche starter make the tastiest mascarpone I've ever tasted (and cheaper by far than commercial products), it also made the same fabulous stuff from lactose-free milk. That was an added treat for those in my family who can't enjoy normal milk products, and whose LF counterparts are not available in stores. I'll always keep this on hand.

Makes great butter.

I make the creme fraiche and then use it to make cultured butter and real cultured buttermilk. Both are great.

Relief !!!!

I live in an area that doesn’t have much in the adventurous for ingredients and this has been a life, time, and mental health saver!! Instead of running around to all the stores in the area, wasting time and getting frustrated and STILL not finding what I need, all I do is make my own!!!!! So much more satisfying too!!! Thank you for saving my sanity!!!

So Tasty!

I use this culture for a fresh yogurt that keeps shrinking as I eat it. Amazing for it's designed purpose too but I love eating unfinished creme fraiche.

Amazing quality!

Creme fräiche is hard to find where I live and a bit expensive. I found this starter and will never buy store bought creme fräiche again. My first batch came out perfect. I useda jogurt maker from Lidl and it works perfectly for creme fräiche. I had it on my pumpkin soup and it is truly the crown to any dish.
