This is a fabulous tool!!! Yes you can just use a standard long knife that you already have..... but it is SOOOOOO much easier with this knife :)

It is sturdy and just the right length for my pot.
yes you can use any old knife if you have one or you can dull the point of a good knife but this curd knife has a round tip that fits the pot's bottom perfectly and its super thin and shiny, easy to clean and great length for any pot. I'm sure it will outlast me.
I have had my curd knife for several years now and I love it. I use it for making mozzarella and other cheeses. It is durable and still looks new. Love it!!
