This Duo is a wonderful way to begin making your own cheese at home. With a little effort and a lot of fun, you can make ten different types of cheese right at home, including Farmhouse Cheddar, Gouda, Monterey Jack, Feta, Cottage Cheese, Colby, Parmesan, Mozzarella and Ricotta. Our duo comes with Ricki's Basic Cheese Making Kit and our 30 Minute Mozzarella & Ricotta Kit.
- 2 Dairy thermometers
- 1 yd Butter muslin
- 1 yd Cheesecloth
- 3 oz Citric acid
- 15 Vegetable rennet tablets
- 3 oz Cheese salt
- Basket cheese mold
- Mesophilic starter culture
- Thermophilic starter culture
- 1 oz Calcium chloride
- 2 Recipe booklets
Starter cultures and rennet tablets should be stored in the freezer. In the freezer, cultures will last 2+ years and rennet tablets will last for 5+ years.
Calcium chloride and citric acid should be stored, tightly sealed, in a cool location away from direct sunlight.

This was the most perfect and gratifying quarantine project!
I bought Ricki's Cheese Making Duo, (K1 & K2). This is a great starter kit. In less than an hour I had my first batch of mozzarella done and it was outstanding. I will be trying farmhouse cheddar next. The instructions are easy to follow and everything you need is included, other than the pots and ladles. I am making cheese for Christmas gifts this year, thanks to this kit!
