Perfect for Beginners

Excellent. I was very nervous because I was afraid it wouldn’t work as easily as my friend had said it would. After tasting some cheese she made, and her recommendation to buy Rikkis basic cheesemaking kit, I jumped in. It was so much easier than I thought and on my own I made the whey ricotta recipe in the back of the booklet. That one took a long time to get the whey temperatures to where it needed to be and I was able to get about 1 cup of ricotta from that. The soft cheese recipe I followed was a Columbian Farmers cheese and it looks somewhat crumbly but holding the shape of the mold when I set it into a bowl. Tasting will be tomorrow for both cheeses. Now I can’t wait to make some other kinds of cheese, thank you for it being as easy as it was.

The beginnings of a great adventure!

My interest and love for cheese finally drawn me to buying this kit which was the beginning of an amazing foodie adventure. This kit had everything I needed to get started except the cheese salt I would highly recommend this kit to get started because it includes a lot of things needed to continue experimenting beyond 8 types of cheese and reordering what you need from here is perfect. I only started making cheese a month ago and have so far made 13 cheeses since. It’s whey too much fun to stop!

Basic cheese making kit.

I have used so many of products. I have never been let down on quality or results in the finished product. However making harder cheese was very intimidating for me. Soft cheese was easy but for some reason harder cheeses scared me to death. My kids bought me the basic cheese making kit, the follower and the wax. I sat down and read through the very easy to read book. I was so surprised at how easy it was to make all kinds of cheeses. We dont have to just enjoy soft cheeses now. I use goat milk from our farm. It is amazing and easy. I can't believe I was so intimidated. I recommend everyone try this kit. But all the products are great!

Gateway to The Beginning

I have not been making cheese for a few years, mainly due to lack of good milk access. I found the process a bit overwhelming when I started, always wondering what step would mess me 5 hr Cheesemaking Session into a dried out or infected cheese I am not proud of. Then I came across this kit at a home brewing supply store and the AH HA moment came after I got home and read the very thorough but understandable instructions I now have 4 cheese wheels in the cave and I am very proud of what I have made. All because of a simple little kit Thank You for that Brandon
