Basic cheese making kit
I bought this kit as a birthday gift for my brother’s birthday. He wasn’t a cheese person until I made cheese over 30 years ago. He asked me about cheese. My kit is so old that it is no longer sold. My search started as finding supplies for me and then changed into a birthday gift for him. I may need to buy myself this kit. It’s great!
I can do this!
I made simple cheeses and I was so proud. I kept looking at that Motzarella cheese recipe and thinking someday I'll be ready. Well I made it and it was PERFECT! I can do this!
Ricki's Basic Cheese Making Kit Review
Having lots of fun experimenting with different types of cheese with this kit. I've made farmhouse cheddar, ricotta, queso fresco, and mozzarella on a regular basis, but now I've added parmesan and colby to the mix! Can't wait to try more!
Ingredients not consistent with website recipes
Just received this kit and it's very disappointing. There are only a few recipes, so I looked for others on the website that I might prefer. But alas, the website recipes all seem to use liquid rennet - but this kit has only tablets, with no instructions whatsoever - even the label isn't in English, so one doesn't know what they really are, much less how to use them if a recipe calls for liquid rennet. So the basic kit is, basically, useless.
