Love the creamy yogurt starter....
I followed the directions for the yogurt on the recipe page of the web site incubated the milk 17 hours for the creamy yogurt. Nice thick and tangy! I did add dry (butter) milk solids to the heated milk before the culturing process. Half I'm using as yogurt and half as labneh. Great taste.
I have ordered and used all packets of my sampler. It was a great way to try the different types of yogurt. Now I know what to reorder based on favorites in the sample.
Great! Making yogurt at home has provided years of fun and good eating. I enjoyed the opportunity to try a number of different cultures side by side so that I could see the differences in taste and texture. So far, the ”sweet” culture gets the prize in my book. I've been using raw jersey milk which produces an incredibly smooth, rich, flavorful yogurt.
Love it so far!!!
I ordered the yogurt sample pack and made a half gallon of milk into the creamy yogurt. It’s was soooo good and my kids loved it as well. Thank you for the clear instructions both on the package and online. Looking forward to our next batch!
Excellent Starting Point for Yogurt Making
Before buying this sample pack, I had no idea how the balance of thermophilus and bulgaricus strains would affect the taste of my output. This pack makes it possible to compare the three types of yogurts (sold here at least) side-by-side. Personally, I've found the Y3 and Y1 packages to taste better.
