Why is all the cool stuff in London?! They now have a Cheese Bar (which just opened a couple of weeks ago) and, starting in June, The Cheese Bus will be taking passengers all around London to various places where artisan cheese is sold. Hold that bus!!!
Popular Festival: Cheesetopia is a cheese tasting event which rotates every year between 3 midwest locations. Next April (2018) it will be in Milwaukee. We’re telling you this now, because this year’s Cheesetopia Minneapolis (April 9th) sold out (500 tickets) in 7 hours! So, when you hear that tickets are available, you might want to get right on it! – click here
European Invasion: Canada has a new trade agreement with Europe which will allow Europeans (nobody knows who exactly) to export cheese to Canada (tariff free). The amount will equal 2-3% of the market, and the impact on Canadian cheese makers is anybody’s guess. – click here
Why Dairy in Our Diets?: Here’s a 1 minute BBC recording of an advisor to the National Osteoporosis Society warning that young people are not getting enough calcium in their “dairy-free” diets. (It seems dairy has been getting a bad rap) – click here
